I have tried to dump and rebuild my places.sqlite, but Firefox always renames it to places.sqlite.corrupt and starts new one, which only contains my bookmarks (restored from Fx's backup).

Interestingly, the rebuilt places.sqlite file turns out about 5 MiB bigger than the original one.

Do you have any idea why this is?

I didn't have any problems with Firefox to prompt me to do this, I simply wanted to to try out the auto_vacuum option, which needs to be enabled with a clean db, before any tables are created.

Thank you
